Tips for finding the perfect Las Vegas Spa

Recently I took a trip to Las Vegas to check out spas. There is no doubt that Las Vegas, just like its hotels, has some of the fanciest and largest spas in the world. Las Vegas spas have both great spa technologies and excellent spa therapists. In fact, when it comes to pampering, Las Vegas spas are top notch.

Given that Las Vegas has so many great spas, it is no easy job to pick "The Best Spa in Las Vegas". The criterion will vary depending on personal needs. Two very useful online articles that I found were: (1) Anitra Brown article describing the best Las Vegas spas. Her list includes some of the smaller, more intimate spas on the Las Vegas Strip. (2) Zeke Quezada article, Treat Yourself to a Spa in Las Vegas highlights spa treatments which, he thought might be of interest to men. In addition, I found the following three online resources that will help you find a spa, just perfect for you:

  1. The Gayot guide to the good life provides a list of best Las Vegas spas.
  2. Las Vegas Direct picks the Top 10 Las Vegas Spas.
  3. Vegas.com  provides an extensive list of Las Vegas spas with reviews.
Spas On The Strip
Most of Las Vegas's best spas are on "The Strip". When visiting Las Vegas you just have to walk The Strip and take in all the sights and sounds. Starting at Mandalay Bay, you will find Spa Mandalay, Bathhouse Spa at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay and The Spa at Four Seasons, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. All three of these spas are listed as top spas.

Outside the Mandalay Spa area there is a beautiful fountain and pool area.

From Mandalay Bay I walked the strip towards the Bellagio. During my walk, spa images flash across the billboards in true Las Vegas style. I managed to capture a few images on my i-phone.

I ended my walk at Bellagio, just in time for the light show.

Let's not forget the Bellagio Spa listed by both Gayot  and Las Vegas Direct, as one of the top spas.

Just taking a walk down The Strip, you will encounter some of the best spas in the world. Should you want super luxury, then you might consider the Wynn. A $3,000 per night suite at the Wynn will most likely include a massage room in the suite. The Wynn also has a wonderful spa. Check out this Vegas.com description and review of The Spa at the Wynn.

Off-Strip Spas
Las Vegas has great spas off "The Strip". The Gayot list of top spas includes Spa at Green Valley Ranch Resort and The Spa at Red Rock.

You will also find great spa facilities at South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa located about eight miles south of the Welcome to Las Vagas Sign. South Point's Costa Del Sur Spa and Salon is described and reviewed by Vegas.com.

Oh! I forgot to tell you I started my walk that day just south of 9600 S Las Vegas Blvd.

Whether you are looking for a spa on or off The Strip, select a spa that meets your own unique needs. For some it is just fitting in a spa treatment amid all your fun activities and/or combining it with your fitness routine. Then maybe selecting a hotel that has a spa and offers you use of its fitness center is the best option. If however, you are looking for a specific spa treatment or the overall spa experience is top priority for your visit, then a little research is needed. The good news is that you can easily do your research. My top picks to help you make that decision are:
  1. The Gayot guide to the good life in Las Vegas.
  2. Las Vegas Direct pick of the Top 10 Las Vegas Spas.
  3. Vegas.com list of Las Vegas spas complete with reviews.
