No Spaswinefood adventure to Sierra Foothills Wine Country is complete without a stop over in Sutter Creek. Sutter Creek, the jewel of Gold Country is the perfect town to explore wine. During our spring visit we liked the relaxed place and warm welcome at Sutter Creek tasting rooms. In fact, Sutter Creek is the perfect place to begin a tour of wine country. You will have fun checking out tasting rooms and nearby Sierra Foothill wineries. This post will feature the Cinque Tasting Room.

Cingue Tasting Room
The Cingue Tasting Room at 83 Main Street offers Serafina Cellars Wines produced by the Scotto family. The Scotto family's wine making history dates back five generations. The wine making tradition is carried on today by winemaker/owner Paul Scotto at Serafina Cellars, Plymouth.

We enjoyed our tasting room experience at Cinque (Cinque means five in Italian). You can also visit Serafina Cellars in Plymouth. Serafina Cellars reds include Barbera, Zinfandel, Syrah and the winemaker's blend of Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon (Dancing Grape); they also produce whites such as, Pinot Grigio and Malvasia Bianca. Of the wines I tasted I rather liked the Old Vines Zinfandel and Malvasia Bianca. Malvasia to me has a rather unique taste that I love for an after dinner drink, or with spicy food. However, from all reports you really need to check out their Dancing Grape red wine blend.
You can check Serafina Cellars reviews at Yelp. Also, for list of awards for its wines see the Serafina website. I have put Serafina Cellars wines produced by winemaker Paul Scotto on my list. This young winery is already starting to produce some good wines.
