You will find Guatemalan coffee at coffee shops around the world. But, if you happen to visit Antigua, Guatemala you can easily find a great cup of coffee. Not only is the coffee good but many of the Antigua's coffee shops have WiFi; so it is great to just hang out and do email. The coffee cafe culture has been popular in Antigua for a long time. In fact long before WiFi many of Antigua's cafes had internet connections. If you are concerned about WiFi strength at the various cafes you may want to check this post.
During my stay here, I sometimes take my early morning walk along 5a Avenida. If you start at La Merced, at the end of 5a Avenida Norte and head south towards Plaza Central there are many places to stop for coffee.

El Portal Cafe, next door to Condesa is quite a popular coffee spot as well.

AntiguaDailyPhoto is a great source of information on Antigua coffee. Spaswinefood did an earlier post on Guatemalan Coffee Just Maybe The Best Coffee. No matter where you are in the world one secret to getting a good cup of coffee is -- to order a freshly ground coffee and not the brewed coffee that has been sitting there. This helps me to get a good cup of coffee. For those interested in making a good cup of coffee at home here is a useful post on how to brew good coffee.
