Let me introduce you to Veranda Beach Cellars wines

It was an introduction to Veranda Beach Cellars wines that Spaswinefood will not soon forget. After leaving beautiful Lake Chelan we made our way to the Canadian border for #WBC13 in Penticton, British Columbia. However, the amazing Washington State hospitality did not end in Lake Chelan. On the bus we were treated to a lunch paired with wines from Veranda Beach Cellars. While I drank Veranda Beach Cellars wines I imagined that I was at the beach, or at a summer dinner party in the backyard.

Yes, I imagined we having Veranda Beach Cellars wines, any place but on a hot bus.

It is without doubt that winemaker, Katy Perry has put this young boutique winery on the map. After tasting their award winning wines I can not wait to taste their next release of wines.

The Road to Veranda Beach Cellars via Lake Chelan
I must admit that along the route from Seattle to #WBC13 in Penticton, British Columbia we experienced different modes of transportation. Seattle to Lake Chelan the Lake Chelan Wine Country crew keep us entertained on a long hot bus ride. Yes, the air conditioned failed on a hot summer's day.

Next day, we toured Karma Vineyards where we rode the Karma trolley.

For those who opted there was a Lake Chelan Seaplane tour over Lake Chelan Wine Country. Of course I went on the tour. In fact I got to sit in the co-pilot's seat. Needless to say, the views were picture perfect.

Then there were the limos that took us on our Lake Chelan winery visits.

All too soon our Lake Chelan visit was over.

On the bus with Veranda Beach Cellars: Yes, all too soon, we were back on the bus heading north to the Canadian border. Before leaving Lake Chelan some of the staff from Veranda Beach Cellars joined us on the bus. They rode with us from Lake Chelan to the Canadian border. En route they served us an inviting lunch. Lunch was paired with Veranda Beach Cellars wines. If you have to travel on a hot bus, with ineffective air conditioning this is the way to go. No, I am not advocating that you travel on a hot bus but, rather it sure helps to be treated so well.

2) 2012 Veranda Beach Cellars Regatta Rose, WA (Double Gold Seattle Wine Awards)
