Yakima Valley's Gasperetti's Gourmet Restaurant

Spaswinefood welcomed the opportunity to return to Yakima Valley Wine Country, Washington State.  During an earlier trip we discovered some of the local wineries. This time we did an overnight stopover in Yakima. After research we decided on a popular Yakima restaurant for dinner. We decided on Gasperetti's Gourmet Restaurant & Bar. Gasperetti's offers five dining room options and a bar. We dined in their main dining room.

The history of Gasperetti's culinary tradition dates back over 150 years to Italy. While proud of its culinary roots today Gasperetti's uses many local ingredients in their dishes. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list. The wine list features wines from Yakima Valley, California and Italy. For us it was so delightful to discover this restaurant, which is popular with both locals and visitors alike.

The Yakima Valley offers many wine options. We selected a wine from Gilbert Cellars, a local winery wines that we discovered on a prior visit. The wine we chose was a Gilbert Cellars Allobroges, Wahluke Slope, 2010.

We started dinner by sharing a Caprese Salad.

For our entrées we decided on one pasta with lemon butter sauce and another pasta with Marsala Chanterelle sauce.

We shared a Chocolate Decadent Desert. Of course a little Grand Marnier was just perfect as well.

We found that Gasperetti's lived up to our expectations. For other diners reviews of Gasperetti see BooRahTripadvisor, Yelp and Urbanspoon. Others have also written about this restaurant such as BBOnlineFodor's and Kim Hawkins. Given that Yakima Valley offers many dining options if you are looking for an restaurant with good Italian cuisine Gasperetti's is an excellent choice.

There are three sub-appellations within the Yakima Valley Appellation. They are Rattlesnake Hills, Red Mountain and Snipes Mountain. The Yakima Valley wineries produce over one third of Washington State's wine. Since Yakima Valley Wineries number over 60 this offers lots of choice of wineries to visit.
