Top views at Colene Clemens Vineyards & Winery

Willamette Valley's Colene Clemens Vineyards and Winery sits high on a hill in the Chehalem Mountains. Colene Clemens has maybe the best scenic view in the Willamette Valley. The winery's 360-degree view includes views like, Bald Peak in the north and the Coast Range in the west. This young winery not only has great views but is also producing good Pinot Noir. Given that Colene Clemens was purchased in 2005, established in 2006, and already has a record of producing good wines is indeed a great sign of good things to come.

I loved the inviting tasting room and spectacular views at this winery. It is not surprising to discover that Colene Clemens was included in Sunset Magazine's 2011 Western Wine Awards Finalist for "Most Beautiful" Winery Tasting Room of the Year. The setting and the relaxing atmosphere at Colene Clemens make it a top winery stop in my books.

Colene Clemens specializes in Pinot Noir wines. We began the tasting with a Rosé of Pinot Noir.

Given the awesome views from the picnic tables at Colene Clemens we ended our tasting there with a Adriane Pinot Noir 2012.

Karl Klooster at the Oregon Wine Press describes Colene Clemens wines as "Great Out of the gate". I totally agree this young winery shows amazing promise. You will find reviews of their wines at  CellarTracker and Prince of Noir. You can also check reviews of Colene Clemens Winery by visitors at Tripadvisor and Yelp.

That day, as we left the winery, we drove back down the hill, by the vineyards I was totally captivated by the setting. As we drove towards Newberg I could not help but look back up at the winery at the top of the hill. I love those wine country days!
