Memories of a dinner in Bucharest with Jidvei Wines

Five years ago, it never crossed my mind that my future Spaswinefood travels would include dining with #winelover friends in Bucharest. Now, here I am at an August dinner in Bucharest where I am about to discover Jidvei Wines. I must admit I always enjoy learning about new wines. There is nothing like a wine conversation to create memories of Jidvei Wines.

Let's Meet Jidvei Wines
We had just returned to Bucharest after a wonderful introduction to Dragasani's wine country. By the time we arrived at the Roca by the Jar restaurant Diana Pavelescu, Jidvei Wines was there waiting for us. Crama Jidvei, is a Romanian company that owns four wineries ((Jidvei, Blaj, Balaciu, and Tauni). Jidvei produces thirty different wines (still, sparkling and brandy), with the majority being still wines. That evening at Roca by the Jar, a gastropub, was a great place to relax while exploring Jidvei wines. 

Our welcoming drink was an inviting sparkling wine.

After an introductory toast to get things started the cheese plate arrived.

Soon we all settled into an evening exploring Jidvei Wines. But, first let's do a toast to #winelover friends.

I could not help but notice the embossed bottle. This is indeed a classy bottle of wine.

We finished the tasting with a delightful rosé wine.

It was delightful to have wine conversations over dinner with fellow #winelover friends while sampling the Jidvei rosé wine. I could not help but notice that this tasty rosé had a stunning wine label. When you look closely at the rosé wine label you will note that one is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon(CS), Pinot Noir (PN), and Syrah (SY).

During the wine tasting a series of delicious dishes arrived at our table.

It was because of those shared conversations over Jedvei wines that memories were created. I will always remember that night dining in Bucharest dining at Rocca by the Jar with Jidvei wines.

Without a doubt a dinner in Bucharest with Jidvei Wines is hard to beat.
