The Ceiba Spa Antigua, Guatemala

Ceiba Porta Spa at Porta Hotel Antigua signals the arrival of full service spas in Antigua,Guatemala. When you enter the hotel's main entrance your first glimpse is of a beautiful fountain.

Last week I visited the Ceiba Porta Spa with a friend.

After check-in we were given robes and slippers and then taken to a locker area.

The Ceiba Spa is accented throughout with fresh flowers.

With the booking of a spa treatment you get to use the steam room and sauna. During our visit we did both.

The Ceiba Spa also has a Mayan sauna (temazcal) and showers in a private garden setting.

The spa has four spacious treatment rooms, with top of the line massage tables. One of the treatment rooms is a large treatment room for couples. The room has two massage tables and a jacuzzi. All the treatment rooms have an inviting atmosphere.

The spa has a relaxation area. After our spa treatments we were taken to the relaxation area where we were served jasmine tea with chocolates.

Hotel Antigua's addition of the Ceiba Spa has positioned the hotel to offer first class spa services.  The spa is available to both hotel guests and non-guests. Non-guests can also buy day passes for use of Hotel Antigua's suana, gym and pool.

Hotel Antigua has a beautiful pool area. It is a very pleasant area to relax.

If you are looking to spend a day at a spa, the Ceiba Spa is the place. Tripadvisor reviewers give Porta Hotel Antigua great overall reviews. The Ceiba Spa is new; so it may take some time to get a good volume of reviews. We both enjoyed our spa treatments. We selected spa packages that included 50 minute massages. This visit we only did a half-day at the spa. Next visit, we would do a full day and take advantage of the pool. The Ceiba Spa, like Hotel Antigua is a place where you get those special touches.
