How do you go about selecting the best Los Gatos restaurant? Los Gatos has so many good restaurants, which makes it so difficult to select just one. Downtown Los Gatos restaurants topping Spaswinefood's list are: Cin-Cin, Dio Deka, James Randall, I Gatti, Manresa and Nick's on Main.
Cin-Cin
Cin-Cin Wine Bar, Lounge and Restaurant 368 Village Lane offers wine bar, lounge and kitchen services. This Zagat rated and 2010 Michelin Guide recommended restaurant is a great place for wine tasting, tapas and wine or for dinner. Executive Chef Chris Scholoss with Sommelier/Co-Proprietor Lisa Rhorer and Co-Proprietor Don Durante make up Cin Cin's dynamic leadership team.
Spaswinefood visited Cin-Cin for dinner during June. We ordered a bottle of 2005 Marqués De Murrieta Reserva (Tempranillo) from Finca Ygay, Rioja, Spain (wine reviews at KL Wine Merchant, and Snooth).
For appetizers we ordered Citrus-Marinated Olive Sampler and an Artisan Cheese Plate.

We loved our dining experience at Cin-Cin; the fact that they feature sustainable seafood and meats and support local growers with environmentally-friendly practices. They also select wines that are sustainable, organic and bio dynamic. Their 50% off a bottle of wine on Monday's is a great deal.
Dio Deka
Dio Deka 210 East Main in Hotel Los Gatos specializes in fine Hellenic cuisine, which has both Greek and Mediterranean influences. Dio Daka is the culminating dream of five managing partners who also work as servers. Executive Chef Marty Cattaneo has outstanding culinary credentials.
I Gatti 25 East Main Street is a wonderful restaurant serving authentic regional cuisine from France, Italy and Spain. We have dined at Igatti a number of times and always enjoyed our dinning experience.
James Randall
Restaurant James Randall 303 North Santa Cruz offers a seasonal menu that showcases fresh local regional ingredients. There is a communal table for walk-ins and a lounge area for relaxation. Executive Chef Ross Hanson and Brenda Hammond Co-Proprietors bring their unique talents to Restaurant James Randall. They are great supporters of 3/50 project.

When I visited for lunch in June I ordered a vegetarian sandwich. The waiter suggest it even though it was not on the menu. He said it was good. Before the sandwich arrived they served a basket of bread with a dipping sauce.

The sandwich came with great pomme frites (french fries) and a small green salad.
Lunch was great. It was the best vegetarian sandwich yet! The waiter was right. I need to revisit soon for another sandwich; of course another time to check out dinner. I can see why this place gets loyal followers. The bill came in a cookbook, which is a nice touch.
Manresa
Manresa 320 Village Lane has been awarded Michelin two stars for five consecutive years. We have visited Manresa a number of times in the past. It is absolutely great when you are looking for a fine dinning experience. We have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. Chef Kinch and the Manresa team have established a high culinary standard.
