When you drop into a restaurant looking for a lunch most times it is a 50:50 chance that you will get a great meal. When you are a vegetarian the odds are even less. Not so when I dropped by the
Market: An American Bistro 1347 Main Street,
St. Helena this week.

They have the best homemade veggie burger. Some might say "
Not another veggie burger". But, at the Market it really is not another veggie burger. It is wonderfully homemade with fresh ingredients.

It came with a great pesto spread and the only thing I needed to add was some grey poupon mustard. I love mustard.

St. Helena is the heart of wine country and so a glass of wine is needed. I know some sommelier's might not totally agree but, a glass of Zinfandel was the perfect pairing.

It was the perfect lunch stop. I liked the casual elegance of the Market: An American Bistro.

Executive Chef/Owner Eduardo E. Martinez together with Roman Flores, Managing Partner and Eddie Moore, General Manager lead the restaurant team. I can see why visitors rate this restaurant high. You can check reviews at
