This year we got to celebrate
4th of July in
San José, California. It was the first time in recent years that we enjoyed
July 4th (Independence Day) state side. Usually we are on the road traveling. Last year it was Guatemala but, this year it is Naglee Park, San José.
Naglee Park, an historic San José neighborhood has lots of

The flyer came in June announcing the 4th of July activities. Today Naglee Park had its neighborhood July 4th parade followed by a block party.

After the parade we had a picnic in the park, at the end of the block.

The neighborhood had a potluck and a barbecue. We also had sodas, wine and beer.

July 4th Independence Day Celebrations are happening in neighborhoods throughout the United States. Everyone -- children, adults and dogs participated in
Naglee Park's 4th of July Activities. Tonight we are looking forward to fireworks here in San José.
