Antigua's restaurants offer a rich diversity of dining options. Given that Spaswinefood has visited the majority on the list this post will focus on one of Antigua's newest "gourmet restaurants" Rafa's Bistrot. If you are looking for a gourmet meal, with a glass of wine and great service then you may want to check out Rafa's Bistrot. Rafa's Bistrot located at 4 Avenida Norte #2 is an Antigua culinary delight. Chef Mario Rafael González Muñoz specializes in international cuisine with Asian, French and Italian influences. All his dishes are prepared with natural, fresh ingredients.
Rafa's Bistrot however, is not only a culinary delight but it offers more. When you enter Rafa's Bistrot you will find two inviting dining areas, the front room and a patio area around a courtyard setting. You will also find attentive service and a pleasant Guatemalan decor.

Since discovering Rafa's Bistrot we have dined there a number of times. During our visits we have tried a variety of entrées, such as:

We have also sampled their inviting appetizers.

Rafa's Bistrot offers a fair selection of wines for a small restaurant. While it is difficult for a small Antigua restaurant to carry a
good wine selection there is at least some range within the wine offerings, such as entry level and reserve.

We have yet to try desserts at Rafa's. However, there is a little treat that comes at the end of the meal.
