Memories of a #winelover evening in Budapest

It was a November evening in Budapest. It was a magical evening with #winelover friends. It would be the perfect ending to my brief stay in the beautiful city of Budapest. Actually it was the beginning my Budapest to Bucharest Spaswinefood adventure. Whenever the #winelover community comes together it is a time for old and new #winelover friends to share their passion for wine. Let’s take a look at one special #winelover evening in Budapest.

Budapest #Winelover Hangout
Our #winelover hangout was held at St. Andrea Wine and Gourmet Bar, Bajcsy-Zsilinszku ut 78, Budapest 1055. That evening we were served a six course meal paired with wines. All of the dishes were beautifully created. The dishes served are paired with St. Andrea Vineyard wines.

In addition to the St. Andrea wines being paired with the dishes #winelovers brought wines to share. Here are some of the Hungarian wines that I tasted.

I must admit I paired it with some heavenly Tokaji.

It was indeed an awesome evening for conversations over wine. For me in particular it was a continued introduction to Hungarian wines. #Winelover hangouts are always a great time to explore local wines.

Given it was November I enjoyed viewing the St. Andrea vineyard display in the restaurant.

Later we dropped by St. Andrea Wine and Skybar at Deák Ferenc utca 5, (Váci 1. Office Building Rooftop), 1052 Budapest.

The view of Budapest is quite amazing from here.

Even on a cold November evening there were guests outside enjoying the night view of Budapest.

After observing the view we took a table inside where we explored a few more Hungarian wines.

Yes, it was not only a most delightful dinner at St. Andrea Wine and Gourmet Bar but also our visit to St. Andrea Wine and Skybar was so enjoyable. All too soon it was time to return to my hotel. Two of us took a rickshaw ride back. It was a nice ride in the night air on that November evening.

While in Budapest I also did an Hungarian wine tasting at the Tasting Table Budapest. I enjoyed my stay at the Casati Budapest Hotel, which is near both the St. Andrea Wine and Gourmet Bar, and the Tasting Table Budapest.

Meeting #winelover friends that evening in Budapest was indeed inspiring. The next day it was onto Rovinhud Conference,Timisoara to continue my vine-inspired travels in Romania. For this Spaswinefood enthusiast Budapest was the beginning of an awesome #winelover adventure from Budapest to Bucharest. I invite you to join me in my travels in Hungary, Romania and elsewhere at Spaswinefood
