About a 30 minute drive from
Antigua, Guatemala is
Baños Termales Santa Teresita and Spa in
Amatitlán. We visited one Sunday in February. As I entered the building I captured the following images:

Inside I discovered two large pool areas on the first level.

On the second level they have smaller pool areas, which accommodate 5-8 persons. I especially liked this area because it offers some shade and has a relaxation area.

There are four thermal pools that have temperatures ranging from 24 C to 41 C.
The staff is very helpful. They will start you in the thermal pool with the highest temperature (41 C). After 15 minutes they will ask you to move to the coolest pool (24 C); then you restart at the next hottest (37 C), then onto 27 C ending at 31 C. When we finished the thermal baths we were treated to a cool fruit drink.

After some relaxation time the ideal thing would be to have a massage and/or other spa treatment. Unfortunately, we did not book a spa service in advance. I would recommend that you book in advance, especially if you plan to visit on a weekend.

If you are feeling like taking in a view of the valley there is a staircase leading to observation area at the top.
