Hierapolis/Pamukkale spa time

Just imagine treating yourself to spa time at an ancient archaeological ruins in Southwestern Turkey. That is what we did during our Spaswinefood visit to Pamukkale, Denzili Province. During our visit we toured the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hierapolis and Pamukkale Hot Springs.  In just one location you can view impressive archaeological ruins located on one of the most spectacular hot springs formation in the world.

Spa Time at Pamukkale
At Pamukkale Hot Springs you can soak in the natural hot springs on the travertine terraces and/or in an aquatic pool. While you soak in the aquatic pool, known as Cleopatra's Pool, you can view pieces of the ancient archaeological remains at the bottom of the pool. Both of these hot spring experiences are amazing.

Spa Time and more at Hierapolis
The ruins of Hierapolis sits on top of the spectacular hot spring formations. While the ruins are impressive one can imagine what this area was like in Greek and Roman times. We can also imagine the happenings at the Hierapolis bath house during these times.

When we toured the ruins we saw not only The Basilica Bath but evidence of food preparation in Greco-Roman times, such as olive oil pressing.
